QC’s Restaurant, Bar and Townhouse, Caherciveen was awarded the Kerry Business Food Award from Radio Kerry last month.
Andrew Cooke, owner of QC’s attended the Presentation & Luncheon at Radio Kerry Tralee.
Radio Kerry asked businesses to nominate their company for the Kerry Business Awards. Each month an independent Judging Panel chooses a company to win the award. The awards recognise the company’s achievements and contribution to business in the county.
The monthly awards will culminate in The Kerry Business Awards Gala Black Tie Ball in March 2014.
‘We are over the moon to win this award and it is testament to the hard work and dedication of myself and my wife Kate, our Head Chef Eddie Gannon, and all the team. We are aiming to establish Caherciveen on the map as the perfect base when exploring the Ring of Kerry. Caherciveen is steeped in history and culture and we want to encourage people of Kerry to discover the hidden treasure that is Caherciveen town.”Said Andrew Cooke, Owner of QC’s.
Based in the centre of Caherciveen, Kate and Andrew Cooke established QC's Seafood Restaurant and Bar in 2000 and QC’s Seafood Restaurant has been long established as the destination restaurant to experience when visiting Kerry. QC’s menu features ultra-fresh seafood with a good choice of daily blackboard specials. The success of QC’s Restaurant has been acknowledged numerous times over the last 13 years by the host of awards won by the team. The most notable award was winning BIM Seafood Restaurant of the Year 2012 last year, beating off stiff competition from a wealth of top class Irish seafood outlets for the prize. QC’s Townhouse was awarded the Bridgestone Design of the Year Awards, received a recommendation from Georgina Campbell as a great short break destination and most commendably, was listed in the Bridgestone Guide as 100 of the best places to stay in Ireland in 2013.
