It’s all ‘American as apple pie’ this 4th July at The Butler’s Pantry with plank cooking, the whole new way to BBQ – plank cooking

The Butler’s Pantry, are celebrating summer AND Independence Day in all of their ten shops the first weekend of July.  During their 27 years in business The Butler’s Pantry are proud to have welcomed thousands of proud American customers through their doors so it is time to celebrate!
Independence Day the much loved American Holiday will this year be celebrated in style at the Butler’s Pantry along with their American customers and staff members so American or not get your honory green card and come down and join in the fun.
Each shop will be offering an array of 4th July delights including a range of plank cooking and BBQ favourites, tastings, competitions  hopscotch on the pavement to ensure all are entertained.  Three of the Butler Pantry shops (Castleknock, Templehill (Blackrock) andSandycove), will be running plank cookery demonstrations on barbeques.
Plank cooking is an exciting way to add the wow factor to your barbeques this summer, using their Himalayan Cedar Planks. The himalayan Cedar Planks offer a modern method of experiencing back-to nature cooking that cooks and smokes meat, fish, seafood, fruit, vegetables and cheese in a uniquely woody, tender and aromatic style. 
The Butler’s Pantry is the place to visit this 4th July weekend for all your barbeque meats, piripiri chicken, barbeque sausages including  stout with leek and basil and sundried tomato sausages all that can be cooked on the barbeque or plank cooked. And you have to try The Butler’s Pantry Smoking Beetroot Ketchup a very fresh ketchup with a little kick and so good for you.  To complete the perfect barbeque the now famous Butler’s Pantry giant meringues, and for the week they will come in pale red and pale blue . Fear not the very special American Apple Pie and strawberry shortcake both developed by the pastry kitchen will feature all weekend.
The Butler’s Pantry at Temple Hill, Blackrock will have an extra piece of entertainment when an 18 piece American Glee Club ‘Friendly Sons of St Patrick’, dropping in to join in the celebrations all the way from Cincinnati.
Three of The Butler’s Pantry shop will also have a fun photo opportunity as you or your child can pop their  head into a life size chocolate chip cookie for the hero photo of the summer holidays.
Shops will be full of special offers from 20% off their family selection and frozen range.
Independence Day Celebrations will run at The Butler’s Pantry Shops on Friday 4th to Saturday 5th July with plank cooking demonstrations running between 12 noon – 4pm at the Castleknock, Templehill (Blackrock) and Sandycove shopws.
