Harvey's Point Hotel Donegal brought off a Double at the 26th Hotel and Catering Review Gold Medal Awards when it won Gold Medals in the 'Four Star Hotel' and 'Wine Experience' categories.
This follows just a week after Harvey's Point was named 'Best One Day Carvery' at the Great Irish Carvery Awards.

To celebrate these latest awards, Harvey’s Point is now offering a ‘Sunday Sleepover’ for lunch guests who like to linger in the hotel, enjoy an overnight in luxury accommodation and a leisurely Monday morning breakfast.
For just €99 pps, guests can arrive on Sunday morning, enjoy the five course award-winning Carvery lunch, relax in the evening, stay overnight and have a full Irish breakfast overlooking Lough Eske on Monday morning.

Harvey’s Point Hotel, Donegal is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year with an array of packages and activity breaks designed to attract regular and new visitors to the award-winning hotel on the shores of Lough Eske.
‘Following a most successful and joyful Summer, we have decided to extend our opening throughout the winter months’, says hotelier Deirdre McGlone. ‘We will be open seven days a week until the end of October and from then onwards we will welcome guests from Wednesday through to Sunday afternoon. We have created a range of unique packages at attractive rates including a new Sunday Sleepover option and a complimentary gourmet dinner for guests who stay with us for two nights or more between November and March (subject to terms and conditions). Our popular Self-Guided Walking Breaks return and so does our annual Painting Holiday. We have introduced a partnership with Magee Tweed and Donegal Bay Waterbus and we are also planning a Creative Writing Weekend for November.’
Immediately available is an Autumn Midweek Break with prices beginning at €69 per person per night (bed and breakfast) for a three night break. A two night break costs €79 pps per night and for a one night stay the rate is €89pps.
Conal McIntyre returns to Harvey’s Point from 29th September to 3rd October with his easel, paints and brushes. He will guide those participating in the annual Harvey’s Point Painting Break as they seek to capture and moods and hues of Lough Eske and the Blue Stack Mountains in drawings and paintings. The Painting Holiday takes place over five days and includes luxury accommodation, full Irish breakfast, light lunch each day and dinner each evening including a special Cabaret Dinner Show on the Wednesday. Rates are from €565 and there is no single supplement.
Harvey’s Point Self Guided Walking Breaks are available throughout the Autumn and Winter months. Harvey's Point is the perfect base to explore beautiful Donegal and the Northwest of Ireland. All year round guests can enjoy the magnificent landscape that surrounds Harvey's Point on the shores of Lough Eske and at the bottom of the Bluestack Mountains (part of the International Appalachian Way). Packages, from €289pps, include a three night bed and breakfast break with dinner on one evening. Each guest will receive a Walking Handbook and hotel staff will assist in planning routes. Packed lunches and picnics are available on request.
For guests who want to combine seascapes with landscapes, Harvey’s Point is offering a package which includes a cruise around Donegal Bay in a 160-seater Waterbus. The cruise visits the seal colony on Seal Island, The Bluestack Mountains and Donegal Bay’s many islands.
And for guests who want to dispel those Winter Blues, Harvey’s Point is offering a free gourmet dinner for guests who arrive between 1st November and 31st March for a two night midweek stay at a special rate from €79 per person sharing per night. This offer is available on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
