In the wilds of Loughrea, Co. Galway, awaits a unique dining experience that encompasses fresh, seasonal and organic food. The Organic Kitchen, located at Three Towers Eco House and Slieve Aughty Centre was created by Esther Zyderlaan and her family, including husband Hugo and daughter Merel. The Zyderlaans created their Eco venture, with a desire to share their love of sustainble living and eating with the wider public. Esther fulfilled her passion for healthy, organic and sustainable food by lovingly creating her extensive garden on the grounds of the Three Towers Eco House and Slieve Aughty Centre. Fresh fruit and vegetables from this garden feature prominently on the Organic Kitchen menu.
Located on the grounds of the Slieve Aughty Centre, The Organic Kitchen, seamlessly blends into the Eco setting that is of paramount importance to the team at Three Towers Eco House. Neutral coloured walls and natural light spilling through the large windows, help assist with the extension of large open spaces. This space allows for large happy and boisterous gatherings including birthdays, anniversarys and even weddings.
In regard to the food, Chef Miguel Castro works with a range of fresh fruit, veg, meat and poultry adhering to the strict designation for organic produce. You will find no chemical influences in your food when dining in this restaurant, one of two certified organic restaurants in the country and the only one located in the West of Ireland. The menus at the Organic Kitchen follow a seasonal pattern, and food that is not grown on site is certified organic, with local suppliers given preference where available.
To further encourage the sustainable ethos and bring about a more natural, communal dining experience, visitors can enjoy a buffet style lay out. This is available at 2.00pm and 7.00pm for hotel residents while for visitors passing through, dinner can be easily booked. Make sure to experience the exceptional organic buffet when visiting Three Towers, as you will be rewarded with a bellyful of great tasting food, ethically grown and sourced, that doesn’t compromise on flavour! The extensive dinner menu at the Organic Kitchen features a range of meat, fish and vegetarian options that will have you spoiled for choice.
