Hayfield Manor is one of the country's top five star hotels, situated in it's own grounds close to University College Cork and within walking distance of all city sights. The hotel offers several dining options, with Orchids Restaurant as the flagship choice. Orchids is a private room, overlooking the walled garden of the hotel. A sophisticated space in which to enjoy a celebratory dinner. Relaxing muted colours add elegance to this beautiful dining room, which offers finest dining in gracious surroundings. Food service is a theatrical performance, with waiters coming out all at once, bearing plates covered in silver cloches, which are all removed simultaneously to amazed oohs and aahs by diners! All sorts of wonderful deliciousness is revealed with the removal of each cloche. This is restaurant service in the traditional French style of years gone by - and still feels right and proper at this level. Expect to be impressed. Cork fish and meats are well highlighted on the menu at Orchids, with specialities from Cork artisans also. Wines are well chosen and lists compiled by an experienced sommelier - wine service is traditional in style and matches the food service here. Good food, good wine, good service. The whole package makes for a splendid evening's eating.
Opening Hours: Thursday, Friday, Saturday at 7pm-9pm & Sunday at 1pm-3pm.
