Sandymount is also a popular spot for those who enjoy the outdoors, with visitors to the nearby beach and busy Sandymount Strand promenade visiting Mulligans for a meal after a brisk walk or run.

Decorated in the traditional dark wood design that is long associated with authentic Irish pubs, Mulligans offers the best of both worlds for diners. It’s quickly positioning itself as the premier sports bar in the locality. The bar area is adorned with small tables and a wraparound leather couch. Combine this with the flat screen tv and you can sit back, relax and enjoy your meal while keeping up to date on all the sporting action over the day. For those looking for a bit more conversation during their meal, the restaurant’s dining area is the place to be. Enjoy the high quality food while you catch up with friends and family.

Mulligans of Sandymount’s excellent food offering is provided by Executive Chef, Rajiv Coonjoobeeharry and his hard working team in the kitchen. From gourmet sandwiches for lunch to grilled steaks and a choice of seafood dishes at dinner, Mulligans offers an excellent selection of food throughout the day. You can’t help but lick your lips when you read the menu.

The menu changes frequently to give diners a range of choice as they return again and again. For example, start off your dining experience with a sample of delicious Irish seafood with the Grilled Castletownbere King Scallops or Crab Salad. Salt-Baked Beetroot or Grilled Asparagus dishes offer tasty veggie options. The main course provides a wealth of options including a Confit Duck Leg, Panfried Fresh Market Fish or a tasty Pearl Barley Risotto. Dishes from Mulligans’ grill including Fillet Steak, Sirloin Steak and Surf and Turf are always a favourite with diners. To finish off, indulge your sweet tooth with dessert. You’ll be torn between a selection that features a decadent Chocolate Fudge Cake, Profiteroles or Cheesecake.

The popular trend of brunch is also catered for at Mulligans of Sandymount. Choose from a selection of light bites or something more heartier, including a Smoked Salmon Breakfast Bowl, A Crab Salad on fresh Sourdough bread or a delicious Omelette to sustain you for the rest of the day ahead.

Mulligans of Sandymount place great importance on the use of Irish food on their menus. Executive Chef Rajiv, sources his meat, fish, and poultry from within the island of Ireland, allowing diners to have more authentic Irish dining experience.

Rounding off the experience of dining at Mulligans, they also stock a wide selection of bottled and draft beers, wines and spirits. Make sure to try some of the Irish Craft beers also available or indulge in a cocktail or two from their menu. Mulligans of Sandymount’s goal is to serve great affordable food in a relaxed setting that will have you coming back for more and more. From what we see it’s mission accomplished!

But don’t be fooled by his cool exterior. The humbleness of his gentle personality belies a chef with a will of iron, who really knows what he wants in his kitchen.
