Sustainability

The team at Kelly’s feel strongly about locally sourced produce and are also committed to growing their own ingredients. On-site there are large kitchen gardens and polytunnels which supply the hotel with fresh, naturally grown produce. The hotel also uses waste food, grass clipping, leaf mould and coffee grinds to make compost.

Guests can stroll around the gardens and admire the food which they will be eating in the hotel.

The hotel also has a wood chip boiler – the wood chip is carbon neutral – and the wood is grown and harvested within 80km of the hotel. It is stored, dried and chipped at a local depot in Clonroche, Co. Wexford.
