Kate's Kitchen Food Store & Eatery

3 Castle Street
Sligo TownSligo

Kate O'Hara's prestigious food shop is in Sligo town.  Established in 1982, Kate's Kitchen has become a much loved local gem for it's regulars.

Shelves are packed with goodies of all kinds, beautifully presented and laid out in an inspired style. Find essential storecupboard items alongside artisan speciality chutneys, jams and preserves. Lots of unusual ingredients, carefully sourced by Kate,  attract attention. Irish produced ingredients rub shoulders with continental favourites. Fine wines and vintage ports, oils, olives, spices, and pate. salamis, smoked salmon, cheeses, honey, and pasta are all here. A table just inside the door is choc-a-bloc with organic vegetables - every ingredient a cook should and ever could need.

Chocolate shelves stock  Irish artisan offerings. Fresh tea bracks made locally go perfectly with any of the preserves. Kate  has also developed a ready made food to go range of some of her house specialities. 'For dinner, you can treat yourself to one of our excellent housemade meals to go, or pick up some inspiring ingredients from the shelves.' she says. Kate struggled with finding healthy ready made baby foods as a busy working mum. This inspired her to  launch her own range of hand crafted Baby Dan products for the little ones in the family. Nothing added but love, care and time. Just as wholesome as anything you could knock up yourself at home. Extremely convenient, and with the reassurance that healthy goodness is at the heart of this range.

Kate's Kitchen also incorporates an in-house bakery ensuring fresh home baked items every day. The cake counter displays daily wares. A small cafe area with stools up at the counter are perfect for enjoying hot drinks, light bites and hot dishes. At lunch, a delicious choice of soups, hotpots, sandwiches and salads available  to eat-in or take away. Top notch Fixx Coffees to perk you up any time of day, plus organic and herbal teas. A beauty section incorporates big names in the best skincare products. Bespoke hampers of these and the food range are lovingly made up by the O'Hara Sisters.

Sundays and Bank Holidays.
