A World Class Wine Selection

ELY's passion for sourcing only the best Irish produce is equaled by its passion for good wine! Like both ELY venues, wine is at the centre of the offering and here, you can walk the cellars of what was once the warehouse of Dublin’s Custom and Excise department and view some rare and wonderful wines.  The space is vast and contemporary with funky beats emanating from the well placed speakers. The wine list at ELY venues is huge, with most bottles sourced via artisan producers world wide. You'll have a ball of a time discovering some new favourites.

ELY WINE BAR

In 1999, on a little travelled street, off Dublin’s Merrion Row, Erik and Michelle Robson opened a little wine bar in a re-furbished Georgian building. Their vision was clear; to serve a wide selection of good wines, with many by the glass, together with simple, well-sourced nibbles. Since then, their dream has grown into one of the most popular spots to enjoy a post-work glass of decent wine with a delicious bite to eat.

Our Review of Ely Wine Bar & Grill

As you walk through Dublin’s Financial Services Centre, by Custom House Quay, the eyes are immediately drawn to the throngs of happy diners and drinkers sitting outside, on a pavement terrace.  They are the happy post-work folk who are the customers at ELY BAR & GRILL.

Whatever the occasion, or with none at all, this is the perfect venue for discovering the hubbub of city.

It is with this same ethos in mind that the food is sourced - best Irish local produce, including meats from the Co. Clare farm of owner Erik Robson. An eclectic feel runs through the ely venue menus. Add to this at ELY BAR & GRILL with a canape option, priced per head, and you have a great spot for a party or work gathering.

As with everything at ELY, service is efficient and attentive. Staff are well versed in the produce of the locality, plus the extensive wine offering. You'll find wine matching menus, but there's not much to beat chatting to a member of staff about what they think goes best with your choice of food. During fine summer months, the outdoor terraces at ely are usually teeming. You have to arrive early to grab a seat!
