Robert Ditty is famous up and down the land for his beautiful oat cakes.  But it doesn't end there, this man is a genius baker who has been in the industry many a long year. He's a second generation artisan baker and his skills and experience are clear to see (and taste!).  Here at the bakery and coffee shop in Magherafelt, the sister premises to the original in Castledawson, all that talent and creativity is showcased in proper style.

Home baking, superb breakfasts and lunches, tea, coffee and pastries are all part of the repertoire.  The Ditty breakfast fry and the vegetarian fry include both potato bread and fried soda bread. The cook's special is homemade pancakes with fresh seasonal fruit and maple syrup. Lunchtime choices always include two freshly made soups, and usually one or two traditional Irish dishes in the main courses. For a lighter bite, try the selection of sandwiches and rolls. Tables are situated to the rear of the coffee shop, and by the French doors which open to the outside.

The busy café counter is where customers line up to buy and eat some of the delicious products. Enjoy the passing parade for your perusal, while you sip your latte and bite into a Ditty vanilla slice or apple turnover. It's obvious that folk find it quite impossible to pass by this place - almost like there's a magnet outside pulling customers in! You'll certainly feel the force - all that home baked heaven is way too tempting to resist!
