Since then, he has built up a solid and loyal following. And in the process, become one of Ireland's leading Head Chefs in a restaurant whose reputation precedes it. This is one of the most important and prestigious eating establishments in the land. Awarded a Michelin star in 2007 - and deservedly so. Numerous other awards have been gathered over the years too. Ross Lewis is a trailblazer in innovative ideas - based around the artisan producers of his native Cork and other regions of the country.

Professional and discreet service is backed up by friendly warmth - a hard balance to strike at this end of the food scale. Ross and his kitchen team are well supported by the front of house team, whose timing is impeccable when it comes to serving his food to diners at the very moment he requires them to do so. That marriage between kitchen and dining room service is an art form, and an ultimate experience here at Chapter One.
Menu wise you can choose to dine a la carte or from the tasting menu. A set lunch menu provides great value for money. For those heading for the nearby Gate Theatre, a pre-theatre menu is on offer, timed perfectly to get you into your seats before the show starts! To accompany the fine food, the Chapter One wine list is impressive and wide ranging. Lots of choice between Old and New World. As you'd expect, the classics are here in abundance.
We need say very little about the kind of dishes you can expect to enjoy here - except expect the best, be prepared to be pleasingly surprised, and revel in the exciting use of Ireland's local produce. Cooking and presentation skills are second to none - and note the devil is in the detail! Perfect execution of the gourmet experience is what Ross and his team are famed for. Chapter One is one of the finest dining rooms in Dublin.
