Our Review of Chakra by Jaipur

Well the team at Jaipur have done it once again. Owner Asheesh Dewan has brought his eclectic taste of India to the fortunate food lovers of Greystones, Co Wicklow.  Chakra at Jaipur is another success story in this group of authentic Indian restaurants,  which includes Ananda, Dundrum and Jaipur restaurants at Georges Street Dublin, Malahide, Dalkey, and Japiur Ongar.

At Chakra, the exotic colours of the spice markets of India are reflected in the interior design. A pillared open plan dining space conjures just right atmosphere in which to enjoy some authentic Indian cuisine.  Travel to the exotic without leaving Greystones, on a menu which is balanced, elegant and  truly representative of a country steeped in culinary treasures. You'll find dishes here within the starters and mains you've probably never heard of before. You'll see the selection of core produce which goes into making them. Seafood like Dingle Bay crab and veggies from the Wicklow region feature in stand alone dishes which showcase the marriage of two very different cultures. All this served by professional staff, only willing to guide you through the menu and recommmend if you really need it.

Wines at Chakra are a mix of old and new world, with up to six wines available by the glass for those who wish to chop and change between courses. Find also Cobra and Tiger Beers, both perfectly matched with spicy foods.
