The Allen's selection of Black Angus & Hereford Cattle, happy free-range Gloucestershire Old Spot Pigs and Llyenn X Texel & Charolass Yews are hand reared and happily graze on the lush pasture of grass that surrounds the family homestead. This grass-fed system and stress-free, free range way of living all works in tandem together in producing premium quality meat that is sold direct from the farm.

Located just 5 miles from the farm, you'll find Castlemine's Farm Shop. This is their primary root to market but they also sell direct to restaurants across the West Coast including fellow Good Food Ireland® Member and Michelin Starred restaurant Loam in Galway.

Visitors to the Farm Shop are greeted with an impressive selection of fresh produce both from Castlemine Farm and also local and Irish artisan producers. The centre piece of the farm shop is the display of fresh produce butchered and prepared by their inhouse expert team. Some of their signature products are dried cured bacon, ham and rashers, homemade sausages & black pudding. The knowledgeable butchery team will happily prepare your meat to your specifications along with giving advice on how best to cook.

The farm shop also has a full production kitchen preparing a range of ready-made meals to their own house recipes using all the produce from their own farm. The ideal option for busy families looking for quick yet highly nutritious meals. Don't forget to pick up a loaf of freshly baked brown bread, produced in house.

They also have a weekly pop-up shop at the Galway City Farmers Market every Saturday and the Moycullen Farmers Market every Friday.
