Merrion Hotel The Cellar Bar Good Food Ireland

The Cellar Bar

The Cellar Bar in the 18th Century wine vaults, with its bare bricked walls and vaulted ceilings, is not only stunning but a great place to have a drink or a bite at lunchtime serving a casual gastro-pub menu. Great value to be had at lunch or dinner on the snack menu if you don't fancy a blow out in the main restaurant.
The Garden Room, The Merrion Hotel, Dublin

The Garden Room

A less formal affair in a relaxed formal garden setting can be savoured when dining in the beautiful surrounds of The Garden Room at The Merrion. An air of whimsy and airiness that surrounds the setting is reflected in the carefully constructed menu devised by Ed Cooney and his dedicated team. Ed's menu encourages the sharing of delightful flavours and tastes with your group of friends and family as you clink glasses in the Dublin sunshine.

Stay in Sheer Bliss at The Merrion

Bedrooms are nothing short of perfect in every aspect. Decor echoes the period, and modern additions like flat screen television and wide desk compliment that. Add in the six-foot wide bed with rich quilt, monogrammed sheets and warm blankets and the delightful large white-tiled bathroom, and we think you'll agree these rooms are sheer bliss.

Tom Durcan, craft butcher of over twenty five years experience, is a master of spiced beef. It has won him many honours. This fine Cork speciality is the underlining product at his butcher’s stall in the English market. Tom’s career began as a youngster, when he took a summer job in a butcher’s shop during school holidays. The experience proved invaluable. Working with an experienced butcher with his own slaughter house provided what Tom describes as a ‘fantastic education’ for the young novice in how to source animals, and the ground rules for good butchery.
