Our Review of Ballycotton Seafood

Ballycotton Seafood Producer is an amazing industry based in Cork. It's built around fresh fish caught primarily by the local fishing fleet off the south coast of Ireland. Richard Walsh started the company over 20 years ago based on fish landed on Ballycotton pier, Cork. He once said, controlling your own fishing fleet guarantees supply and quality fresh fish. This is a statement that has proven to be true, if the quality of the fish his company supplies is anything to go by.

They supply an impressive range of fresh and smoked fish. Equipped with their own smokehouse they produce artisan seafood and smoked fish that has to be tasted. The fresh fish available includes everything from John Dory and Gunard, to Cod and Monk fish. They also supply pure crab meat, along with a selection of other shellfish. Ballycotton Seafood Producer is the place to go if you're looking for seafood of any description.

From retail to wholesale to export, Ballycotton Seafood prides itself on a full range of fresh fish all prepared, packed and dispatched from this processing plant at Garryvoe. From here it is exported throughout Europe and retailed and wholesaled at home, through the Ballycotton Seafood Stall at the English Market in Cork City and the Ballycotton Seafood Shop in the centre of Midleton.
