Founder of Good Food Ireland, Margaret Jeffares said, “We realise that more and more Irish people care where their food comes from, not just for the local economic benefit but because it tastes so much better. With Good Food Ireland we seek out those places, many off the beaten path, so people can discover them and enjoy. We have worked tirelessly with the best food producers and chefs in Ireland to carefully develop, inspect and bring to market food experiences which are now available on one platform, easily searched and navigated by various criteria”.
Experiences are as diverse and varied as the food scene in Ireland. For food lovers looking for a new experience, Hands-On Bread-Making in Ballymaloe, Foraging and Lunch in Historic House Estate, Dine with a Local Chef at a Private Lunch in Co Donegal or how about collecting a Traditional Tipperary Country Picnic for Two? For those looking to take a road trip you can explore many experiences broken down by your chosen route and destination such as Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands, Northern Ireland plus more.
For families looking to entertain the kids throughout school holidays how about Make Your Own Chocolate Bar in County Clare, Blackcurrant and Horse Breeding Farm Tour in County Wexford or Goat Cheesemaking on a Family Farm in County Cork, or get the kids buzzed about Bee-Keeping in County Galway.
