Tourism Ireland partners with Good Food Ireland in a New Campaign to harness the creativity of Ireland’s people to inspire the world to ‘fill their hearts’ with Ireland.

Tourism Ireland has unveiled a new campaign to inspire people around the world to ‘fill their hearts’ with the island of Ireland.

Because people aren’t travelling right now and cannot experience our warm welcome or get to know our wonderful culture first-hand, Tourism Ireland has come up with a creative way to entertain prospective visitors everywhere and to help ensure that the island of Ireland stays ‘front-of-mind’ with them for future holidays.

The initiative, using the hashtag #FillYourHeartWithIreland, involves the sharing of inspirational content that speaks to the world at this difficult time and connects people with the island of Ireland.

Over the coming weeks, Good Food Ireland will work with Tourism Ireland to share their content with millions of fans and followers on Tourism Ireland’s social channels – including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter. The content will also be shared with Tourism Ireland’s database of influential travel and lifestyle journalists, who are all looking for great ‘armchair travel’ ideas right now.

Niall Gibbons, CEO of Tourism Ireland, said: “Our message to people everywhere is that, as soon as you can travel again, our spectacular scenery, rich heritage and warm welcome will be waiting – until then, you can dream of, and plan, your future holiday. We want to bring #FillYourHeartWithIreland onto people’s screens and make them smile. Our aim is to keep the beauty of the island of Ireland to the fore and to showcase our authentic home-grown talent. While we may not be able to travel just now, we hope to inspire people for their future visit.”

Margaret Jeffares, Founder of Good Food Ireland, said “We are very excited to partner with Tourism Ireland on this new campaign at a time that is so critical for our food tourism industry. Our hope is to inspire future prospective visitors to experience a true and authentic Ireland where our food and our people are a key component of our culture and what we truly believe makes our country great”.
