Cork’s midsummer festival is always choc full with an interesting programme of events. This year will see another stunning seleciton of fun things to do in and around the Cork city on the weekends of 12th – 14th June and 19th – 21st June.  Stats include 40 events, 95 performances, 25 venues lined up,  and a potential audience of twenty thousand visitors.  Pretty impressive! Music, dance, theatre, visual arts, opera and a family friendly selection means there is something to please everyone this summer in Cork.

Among the events, a collaboration between the businesses and restaurants will see the city centre host a one-off outdoor banquet for 400 people.  Our Table will be held on Oliver Plunkett Street, ton Sunday 14th of June, from 6.30pm – 9pm. A dozen of Cork’s best loved restaurants are involved, include Good Food Ireland members Nash 19 in Princes Street, and Farmgate Cafe in the English Market. A three course dinner will be served, amid entertainment from street performers and musicians.

Speaking about Our Table, Gillian Keating, Chairperson of the Cork City Centre Forum, said:

“We are thrilled to bring this event right to the heart of Cork city on Oliver Plunkett Street during the Cork Midsummer Festival. Our Table is just one of the many initiatives that the City Centre Forum are working on to drive footfall and business activity in Cork.

“This event demonstrates what can be achieved through collaborative efforts and commitment from the business community that we are so proud of in Cork. I especially want to thank Jack Crotty and Conrad Howard for bringing this idea forward, and their work to deliver what is sure to be a spectacular event.”
