This weekend sees the start of Bord Bia’s BLOOM 2015, running from 28th May to 1st June. Open every day from 9am-6pm, Ireland’s leading horticulture and food festival promises to be bigger and better than ever in it’s ninth year. Bloom always attracts home and international visitors, for it’s extremely high standards in food and horticulture. This year, Bloom will showcase 24 stunning gardens designed by Ireland’s top garden designers. Here is the place to know what’s on trend for planting and growing in your own garden this season.

In gourmet terms the Bloom Food Village attracted over 26000 visitors last year, who purchased food and drink from Ireland’s recognised producers and new artisans. At least half the food exhibitors are new to this year’s show. For the kids, there are familiar favourites in children’s entertainment and family fun, with ‘Budding Bloomers’ Claphandies chill zone for toddlers to four year olds, fun on the farm, and children’s entertainers.
