28/09/2017 - Maryborough Hotel & Spa get the Good Food Ireland Seal of Approval
We are delighted to welcome the latest addition to the Good Food Ireland Collection, Maryborough Hotel & Spa in Co. Cork
The suburbs of Cork City are home to a little secret. Located near Douglas, just a short drive from the centre of the Rebel City, Maryborough Hotel and Spa is set in a private estate of mature grounds and gardens. You can sense the 300 years of history as soon as you enter the gates and travel the tree lined driveway leading up to this magnificent Georgian property. As you round the final corner, this stately house appears majestically, beckoning a grand welcome. Imposing steps to the front door are where your journey back in time begins. Relax in the finery and elegance of Maryborough's period features while you dine of some delicious food.
Maryborough has several wining and dining options. Bellini’s Restaurant is the fine dining option, with a menu designed with local produce in mind and some suppliers listed on the menu. Executive Chef Gemma Murphy oversees a menu presented in simple style, to lend the surprise element to what is served at the table. As the name may suggest, Bellini’s is Art Deco inspired, in honour of the heady heydays of cocktails and glamour. Signature cocktails abound at Bellini’s Bar, as well as wines, spirits and craft beers from a small Cork City brewery. Daytime food includes morning pastries. A sandwich selection is available for lunch, alongside a more expansive list of mains. These change to chic casual dining options as day swings into evening.
