Owned by Justina and Liam Gavin, who describe themselves as owners, farmers and lovers of good food, Drumanilra combines a burger bar, cafe and shop on Elphin Street in Boyle, Co. Roscommon, with around 80 acres of organic farmland at the family’s Drumanilra Organic Farm, looking down over Lough Key. This totally holistic food business sounds pretty ‘stunning’ and ‘unique’ already. The ‘community’ aspect comes from the ambience and atmosphere of the café as a ‘community centre’. A place where everybody knows everybody and all are sharing in enjoying fully traceable, flavoursome food together. Strangers are warmly welcomed in to this fold, to become one of the crowd very quickly.
