FOOD FLEADH BALLINA


Beautiful County Mayo is the destination for the second annual Food Fleadh Ballina Festival, this coming September. A celebration of all things Mayo in gastronomic terms! The county has lots to celebrate foodwise, with delicious mountain lamb, and some of the best sea and river fishing in the country. Not to mention artisan cheesemakers and speciality producers  and award winning restaurants and chefs.  So famous  is the quality of the salmon fishing in Mayo, Food Fleadh Ballina  highlights it as the Salmon Capital of Ireland, since it attracts many dedicated anglers each year. 

Taking place on 26th-27th September 2015, events at this year’s  Food Fleadh Ballina  will feature cookery demonstrations, tastings, farmers markets, live music and children’s activities throughout the festival.   Something for everyone at an event not to be missed. If you have time to spare in Mayo, dont’ forget to visit the county’s clutch of Good Food Ireland members which include Kelly’s of Newport, Kelly’s Kitchen, An Port Mor, Cafe Rua, Rua Deli, The Food Store and Mount Falcon.
