Artisan Bakery Tour and Causeway Coast Lunch Northern Ireland Food Tour

Enjoy a unique Private Personal Tour with second generation Master Baker who specialises in breads local to Northern Ireland followed by locally sourced lunch at an Award Winning Good Food Ireland Restaurant along the magnificant Causeway Coast.

Artisan Bakery Tour

Arrive into Belfast and begin your journey to Castledawson to meet Artisan Master Baker Robert Ditty for a private tour and tasting. This second generation baker (the original family bakery was purchased by Robert's father in 1963) specialises in breads local to Northern Ireland, which range from wheaten and soda breads to griddle-baked fluffy soda farls and earthy potato farls.

Every creation here is testament to the years of experience Robert has built up, starting as a youngster working beside his father, a master baker of his time. Enjoy a taste of some of his fabulous sweet and savoury biscuits such as lemon shortbread, traditional or cheese oatcakes made with Gubbeen Irish farmhouse cheese or walnut oatties, with a coffee before driving on to the historic Bushmills Inn, dating back to 1608 where manager Nikki Picken will take you on a tour of this former coaching inn dating back to the 1600s sharing itâs unique history before sitting down to a relaxing lunch featuring great locally sourced ingredients.

After lunch why not visit the nearby Bushmills Distillery (not included) for a tour of the oldest working distillery in Ireland which, for over 400 years, has kept to the philosophy that hand crafting small batches is the way to produce beautifully smooth tasting Irish whiskey. Try it yourself and see if you agree.
