Kelly’s Café at Drinagh Retail Park in Co. Wexford is a casual dining addition to the luxury of Kelly’s Resort Hotel & Spa in Rosslare. The same strict standards of quality ingredients applies here, to a café menu availabe to eat in or take away. Homemade pizzas are top of that list. They come straight from an Italian pizza oven to your table or your door, whichever you fancy.
Twelve inch pizzas with real homemade pizza bread dough, in all your fave flavours. Top choices Margherita and Pepperoni are accompanied by the Daily Special Pizza and a bespoke pizza of any toppings you fancy.
Bar Italia on Lower Ormond Quay in Dublin city centre is owned by Stefano Crescenzi of Dunne and Crescenzi, and business partner David Izzo. A lively, vibrant and authentic Italian Pizzeria. House pizzas here start with a 24 hour naturally raised pizza dough. Toppings include Marinara with Sicilian Tomato Sauce and anchovies, Diavola with Campagne Mozzarella and Tuscan spicy Salami and others, as well as Calzone, a traditional folded pizza loaded with tomato sauce and filled with Porchetta roast ham and goats cheese.
Pizza Bianche includes pizza toppings without tomato sauce. Bite into the oozing richness of Cream of Four Cheeses and Ligurian Truffle for a change. Bar Italia has a private dining room to seat 32 people for a party or work gathering – great idea with Christmas around the corner.
FRATELLI’S RISTORANTE AT GALGORM RESORT
Italian food is family food at Fratelli’s, the casual Italian eaterie at Galgorm Resort and Spa. Pizzas are made here in the wood fired oven. If you fancy an evening out with the kids, this is the perfect spot to bring them. They get to ‘build’ their own pizzas, starting with the dough base and loading them with toppings of choice. Then they read the story of the Three Little Boars while their pizzas (and yours) are cooking. A lovely weekend treat for the gang.
PACINO’S ITALIAN RESTAURANT
Pizzas at Pacino’s in Suffolk Street Dublin are pretty special. Pizza Calabrese with garlic and fresh basil, Cappricciosa with artichokes, mozzarella Italian ham and mushrooms, or Pepperoni and Gorgonzola with Ventricina Pepperoni and mature Gorgonzola cheese are just a few of the choices.
All come on a fresh homemade sourdough base topped with homemade tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. Takeaway pizzas and Deliveroo service available.
TOSCANA ITALIAN RESTAURANT
Dee and PJ Betucci have created little Italy in their gorgeous restaurant. The Pizzeria at Toscana has a reputation for being the best in Dublin! A big shout, but we can see why the pizzas here have such a great reputation. PJ’s handmade 12 inch thin bread bases are made from fresh handmade dough, topped with organic meats and seasonal ingredients from the Betucci garden and polytunnel in Co. Wicklow.
Growing your own is a big thing here, every dish on the menu benefits from a wealth of homegrown seasonal ingredients.
TOONS BRIDGE PIZZERIA AND SHOP
Homemade pizzas have made a big impression at Toons Bridge Dairy and Café near Macroom in Co. Cork. This rural idyll includes a dairy which makes the best Italian cheeses from local cow’s milk, a shop which sells Irish and Mediterranean specialities and a café with real woodfired pizza oven to put all this wealth of produce together on a bread base! Toons Bridge Pizzas are available on the café menu on Friday’s Saturday’s and Sundays in the winter months.
Serving from 12.30pm to 4pm then from 6-9pm for takeaway on Friday and Saturday and 12.30pm to 6pm Sundays. All the hand made cheeses from the dairy are used for the fabulous pizzas here. Grab one when you’re in the area!
