Get a taste of the Sea at QC's!

QCs

If you haven’t discovered QC’s Seafood Bar and Restaurant in Caherciveen Co. Kerry, you’re missing a trick. Set in a beautiful spot on the famous Ring of Kerry, and part of  the Wild Atlantic Way, Kate and Andrew Cooke’s family run business serves the best fish and seafood from this wonderful coast. Made possible by the fact that Kate comes from a longstanding fishing family in Caherciveen and her brothers have their own boats. So you’re getting the very best of the catch here every day.

The Cookes also have a beautiful townhouse in the village, where you can book a room and make a night of it. Elegance meets a warm Kerry welcome here. Andrew is an accomplished sailor who knows the waters very well and can recommend and skipper chartered sails during your stay. He can also organise game shooting in season and point guests toward the best walking trails, water sports and horseriding in the locality.

If that’s still not enough for you, there are two golf clubs in the area, Dook’s Golf Club and Waterville Golf Links. Lots to occupy as you drink in the awe inspiring scenery for which Kerry is famous.

Kerry's Dark Sky Reserve

The fun doesn’t stop when night falls either. That’s when things start to get really interesting. And we don’t mean in the bar! (Although that could be fun too!) Kerry is a designated Dark Sky Reserve. Ireland’s first international reserve and one of only three Gold Tier Reserves on the planet. Awarded for the exceptional quality of the night sky in this region, which is pollution free and enables superb viewing of the stars and constellations which light up the darkness.

A mind blowing array even the untrained eye can see.  A stay at QC Townhouse means you can pop outside at any hour to see what the sky is doing and you don’t have far to get home!
