Cherries, according to this famous saying, are the epitome of the good life. We happen to agree! If you’re a cherry lover, here is a little video we found on Youtube  to help you to pit them,  without the aid of a proper cherry pitter. It’s pure genius and worth a watch. Pitted cherries can be poached in liqueur as in the famous classic Cherries Jubilee. P.S. A little bird tell us that this year’s cherry crop will soon be coming on stream at The Apple Farm in Cahir, Co.Tipperary. These homegrown Irish cherries are luscious and tasty and just about ready to pick in the next week. Limited supplies,so if you want some, you’d better head on down to the farm and farm shop in Cahir pretty quickly, because they won’t last long! Follow the link above to check with the farm first, and while you’re there, have a browse round the apple orchards and farm shop for other wondrous seasonal fruits and goodies.
