Eggstra Special Gifts for Easter
Easter equals eggs. Don’t pretend you wouldn’t be disappointed if you didn’t get one on Sunday April 16th. We certainly would! But we don’t want just any egg. We want the best eggs in the land.
And lucky enough, we know where to get them. So will you, when you read our list of chocolate makers and what they are up to this Easter. Get cracking, ahem!, to find the egg (and other chocolate creations) of your Easter dreams...
OMG! Your kids will think they have landed in a scene from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory during the run up to Easter at The Chocolate Garden of Ireland. Chocolate maker Jim Healy will be showing how it’s done with daily workshops running right through from 8th – 21st April. Participants will make an Easter Bunny or Egg to take home. For grown ups, divine eggs from this chocolate paradise include a stunning hand crafted egg decorated with golden nibs, chocolate eggs flavoured with Mint Crisp, Orange Crisp or Strawberry Crisp, and personalised eggs with the recipient’s name on the front. All stylishly packed with cellophane and colour co-ordinated bows. We love it.
You won’t know whether to frame it or eat it when you receive a Lorge Chocolate Easter Egg. You just want to gaze at French born Benoit Lorge’s creations for hours on end.
Such beautiful works of art they are. But you will eventually give in and eat it, we can bet on it. Because handmade chocolate like this is just too good to resist. Ben also makes exquisite truffles, bars and bags of chocolate masterpieces, plus beautiful French nougat.
Something for anybody who loves the dark stuff in this handmade chocolate shop in Bonane, Co. Kerry. It’s magic.
