Ballymaloe Cookery School

Shanagarry, Midleton, Co Cork.

Ballymaloe Cookery School needs no introduction, the ethos here is simple – to pioneer the style of cookery introduced by Myrtle Allen at Ballymaloe House. Now run by Myrtle’s daughter-in-law, Darina Allen, another great champion of Irish produce. Darina’s infectious enthusiasm and use of simple techniques, great ingredients that are home produced where possible, and using the same philosophy made famous by the first lady of Irish food, all those years ago, have created a world-wide name for quality and integrity.
