Homemade Brown Bread
Serves
Cooking time: 60 minutes
Ingredients
1.25kg of plain flour1.25kg of wholemeal flour
40gms of bread soda
60gms of wheat bran
50gms of salt
100gms of brown sugar
2litres of butter milk
12gms of baking powder
500mls of milk
Method:
Combine dry indredients.
Make a well in the center and add both milks slowly
Grease six 11lbs loaf tins with oil
Bake in the oven at 175 degrees celcius for an hour
Serve straight from the over with butter and my delicious marmalade! (See my marmalade recipe).
